Why Use Closed Cell Polyethylene Foam for Tool Kit Shadow Boards

Using colour coded closed cell polyethylene foam for shadow boards boosts workplace efficiency, avoids human error, eliminates waste and ensures compliance, too. This form of visual management creates a culture of well-organised individuals that take care and ownership of their tools, no matter the industry or range of equipment.

Shadow boards make it easy to quickly detect missing tools and reduce the time and stress having to search for them after a job is complete.

Closed Cell Polyethylene Foam

More about our closed cell polyethylene foam

Our PE foam is low-cost, lightweight and created from high performance materials we’re proud to produce. Our closed cell polyethylene foams are robust and made using physical manufacture (IXPE) and chemical cross linking (XLPE).

The range includes ethylene copolymer, conductive and static dissipative foams, as well as flame retardant and antibacterial grades, in a range of densities, colours and sizes. Each one is non-toxic, thermally insulating and resistant to UV, moisture and chemicals. We also produce bespoke grades for demanding conditions - such as differing temperatures and shock absorption during transportation.

Closed Cell Polyethylene Foam

Closed cell polyethylene offers real advantages over traditional rubber or sponge materials like EPDM and neoprene, with a high strength-to-weight ratio, attractive aesthetics and low odour.

We can split, saw, rout, die cut, water-jet cut, butt-weld, laminate, adhere, thermoform or compression mould and cut to size all of our foams, to create even the most complex shapes and sizes. We also supply our polyethylene foam in sheets, rolls and blocks.
